Cards Against Humanity SUES Elon Musk – What is Really Happening?

We wish we could’ve talked about good things and funny cards forever, but unfortunately, we’re humans, and we get affected. It’s our job to keep you updated with everything that happens related to the gaming industry, especially when our favorite party game is included. There’s a conflict going on between Cards Against Humanity and the founder of SpaceX and co-founder of Tesla, Elon Musk, and we’re about to share all the pieces of information you should know.

What is Happening?

The story starts in 2017, right after Donald Trump was inaugurated as President of the United States. Among all his other ‘great ideas’, he wanted to build a wall on the US and Mexico border, against which were millions of people, including the founders of Cards Against Humanity. Therefore, they used their power to stop that, while asking 150,000 Saves America subscribers to donate $15, so that they could buy the plot of land in Texas. 

Knowing how many supporters CAH has, people donated and they took that land into their property. It was all settled down until these past days: Elon Musk has used that land to store building materials, tractors, vehicles, and as they say ‘space garbage’, for their following space project of SpaceX. 

Of course, a plot of land worth over $2 million is worth fighting for. Thus, Cards Against Humanity has sued Elon Musk for $15 million for property damage & trespassing! But, where will this money go? All people who have subscribed Saves America will get $100 if CAH wins the lawsuit. Considering their donating projects and the fact that when they say something, they actually do it (just like sending actual bullshit in packs), we truly believe they would split the $15 million with the subscribers. 

Is It Fake News?

Unfourtunately, no. Besides news in almost all online media, we have official posts on CAH’s Instagram and Twitter accounts too, where they admit that they have sued Elon Musk, and for the right reasons. 

They have explained why they sued Musk, and also additional details for all their supporters. We can notice the irritation and anger in their words, such as calling Musk a ‘racist billionaire’, and how he ‘fucked that land with garbage’. 

Already, they have made a special website which explains everything. Even shared with us the full lawsuit and Reuters article. The name of the site pretty much tells the whole story: elonmuskowesyou100dollars.com.

Has Musk Reacted Anything Yet?

As someone who owns Twitter now (renamed X), we could’ve assumed he has already made tons of replies – but no. That’s not what’s happening. There isn’t a single word from Elon Musk on social media. However, he is pretty aware of the situation. As CAH says, after they caught him using the land, he offered a 12-hour ultimatum for half the actual value of the parcel, which they haven’t accepted. 

Although there isn’t much to be said by Elon Musk, we’re waiting for his Twitter responses, even if it’s a one-word tweet, typical of the SpaceX founder. 

What Do People Think? Who Are They Supporting? 

Now, they are two groups of people. The ones who think that Musk is really manipulative and provides damage, just like he’s doing with the Texas land, and the ones that think that Cards Against Humanity is just getting very political, the land is not worth that money, and that they could never win in the court. 

However, of course, people who support the case 100%, are the Saves America subscribers, who will get $100 in their pockets, so yeah, that’s a great reason.
