Drag Race is an American reality show with 17 seasons. It was first released in February 2009, and an 18th season is confirmed. The Show was created by RuPaul, an American TV host and drag queen. While you wait for the new season to come out, you would want to play a card game that is just as dramatic but even funnier than Drag Race. Oh The Rumanity is what we’re talking about!
This one’s a card game that contains a total of 495 cards, 315 of which are white and 180 black. The whole content, designed like a Cards Against Humanity game, is Drag Race-themed. So, when playing, you will find jokes about sequin dresses, art drags, puppets, the future of the drag, getting so emotional, romper rooms, stardoms, or Wendy Williams. If you’ve watched a few of the seasons, most of these prompts will make sense, no doubt!
The thing is that, yes, Drag Race can be watched even by teens. However, the content in Oh The Rumanity card game is wild! Therefore, only people who are 17 or older can play. Although you can play with 2 or 3 players as well, the official recommended number of players is 4 to 20+!
Gameplay
- Everyone is dealt 7 white cards. One player becomes the game judge;
- There’s one different Card Czar (game judge) each round, who must pick and read one black card;
- When the black card is read, all other players submit one white card they think makes the funniest combination;
- The best response gets one awesome point.
Winning
Here’s the thing. Everyone who plays Oh The Rumanity probably forgets that they’re competing to win since that’s how fun it gets. However, whoever has the most awesome points when you make a haiku wins the game!
