Marvel has been a comic book publisher, since 1961, as well as a creator of films and series through Marvel Cinematic Universe, and includes our lovely well-known characters, such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America, Hult, Blank Panther, Ant-Man, and many more! Since we will possibly never see all characters in one comic book or movie, there’s a card game that already did that: Cards Against Marvel!
The deck includes a total of 942 cards, with almost 300 of them being black, and the others being white response cards. As assumed, the content is all related to Marvel. You’ll get to make jokes about Marvel’s crossovers, selling your sister to the Hulk, Black Widow, fans of Marvel during Christmas, defeating Thanos, and really, all you can think of.
Yes, Spider-Man and all the other heroes are the kids’ favorites too, but this card game should be kept away from them. The age range is 17+, and you’ll understand why when you read the cards. In one game session, 4 to 20 or more people can play, officially, but by our rules, playing with 2-3 people works fine as well.
Gameplay
- Each round there’s a different Card Czar, and the other players;
- The Card Czar deals everyone 7 white cards, and reads the black card out loud;
- Everyone else submits their favorite white response from the cards in their hands;
- Whatever card the Card Czar likes most, gets one awesome point.
Winning
Cards Against Marvel is won by whoever has the most awesome points when you decide to stop playing, which means when you play a haiku. However, you’re all winners since there will be unlimited laughs!
