Description

While Cards Against Humanity is known for wild humor, Cards Against Sociology brings sociological ideas into the mix. Inspired by a version created at Middlebury College, this edition also includes new cards made with our HorribleMaker generator.

The deck includes 300 cards: 200 white and 100 black—covering topics like capitalism, inequality, power, race, gender, and identity. It mixes academic concepts with everyday situations, making serious topics surprisingly fun.

It’s recommended for ages 17+, mainly because many of the topics require a bit more maturity to fully understand.

Gameplay

To play Cards Against Sociology, follow the usual Cards Against Humanity rules:

  • Play with 4+ players (or use our 2–3 player rules).
  • Choose a Card Czar, who deals everyone 7 white cards.
  • The Card Czar reads a black card aloud.
  • Everyone submits their funniest or best-matching white card.
  • The Card Czar picks a winner, who earns 1 point.
  • Rotate the Card Czar and start the next round.

Each round winner keeps the black card as 1 point. When the game ends, the player with the most black cards wins Cards Against Sociology.
