Never Have I Ever is fun, but it can get boring when you play it too much and remember all the questions. We’ve got a fix for that: a few other games (including drinking and card games) that feel just as fun, help you connect, and bring lots of laughter.
- Liar Liar;
- Funemployed;
- Cards Against Humanity;
- The Voting Game;
- Bad People;
- We’re Not Really Strangers;
- Hot Takes;
- The Awkward Storyteller;
1. Liar Liar
Ages 10+ | 3+ players;
In both games, you’ll get to know the group better. However, in Liar Liar, people will guess if you said the truth or not. In Never Have I Ever, it’s you who tells information about yourself.
2. Funemployed
Ages 18+ | 3+ players;
Funemployed is where you show your interviewing skills. Even if you share previous experiences, all have to do with jobs. However, I think in both games you have the chance to convince people.
3. Cards Against Humanity
Ages 17+ | 4 to 20+ players;
Both games make you show important parts of yourself. Feelings, experiences, creativity, humor sense, and so on. In CAH, you tend to be the funniest of the group, while in Never Have I Ever you just gotta be real.
4. The Voting Game
Ages 15+ | 4 to 10 players;
In the Voting Game, you will have to vote anonymously and take guesses, while in Never Have I Ever, everyone talks about themselves. After revealing the votes, or answering with ‘I Have’ & ‘I Have Never’, the group will know more about each player specifically.
5. Bad People
Ages 17+ | 3 to 10 players;
Both games include interesting topics to talk about, and can only be played by adults (because of the content, obviously). In Bad People, you gotta test how well you know one another, by voting, while in Never Have I Ever, it’s all about you talking about you!
6. We’re Not Really Strangers
Ages 15+ | 2 to 6 players;
Never Have I Ever & We’re Not Really Strangers both tend to bring people closer. However, questions in Never Have I Ever are very concrete, and you don’t have to give additional information, differently from the last game.
7. Hot Takes
Ages 17+ | 3 to 8 players;
In Hot Takes, you won’t necessarily talk about personal situations, it’s all about your thoughts and support. However, both these card games allow you to see each other’s limits.
8. The Awkward Storyteller
Ages 16+ | 4 to 11 players;
Although the game rules are pretty different, both games are fast-paced and include all players in a round. Never Have I Ever is simple, and questions are related to the player, while the story in The Awkward Storyteller is completely made up.
